Congratulations! You Just Started Your Own Business!
Your journey has begun!
What is Synergy? Synergy (from the Greek synergos)
A mutually advantageous conjunction where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

At some point you would like to enjoy the fruits of your efforts and take a little break from your business, right? Maybe cut back on the hours you put in every week. Spend some more time with your spouse, your family or your friends.

The only way this will happen is by developing a strong organization with strong leaders within it. You have to make this a top priority! Two of the most often asked questions are "What is this?" and "How do I do it?" My answer is... TRAFFIC!

I know you want a hands-off, lay-on-my-hammock-in-the-middle-of-the-day residual income. We all do.

But not yet! You can't have it right away. You've got to sow the seeds for a surging, unstoppable organization that has so much momentum you couldn't kill it if you wanted to, and THEN?...you can relax. But not until then!

There are a few core principles you need to know in order to develop potential leaders.

Work extra hard with the 20%. You know the 80/20 rule. Find the 20% of your people who are giving you 80% of the results and devote the majority of your time to these people.

No matter how hard you try, you'll never beat the odds of the 80/20. It's a fact, just accept it. We all want to have everyone in our organization contributing and producing the same amount, but it just doesn't work that way. It's literally impossible.

So, target your 20 percenters and give 'em all you've got. Give them your best time your best efforts and your best resources. If there is just one single thing you can master, and only one, this is it. It will compound your growth beyond calculation.

Lead by example. Someone told me something he read one time that I thought pretty much summed up leadership as best as it can be. The story was about a Vietnam Navy SEAL Commander… He was asked to define leadership. He said two words: "Follow me."

Leadership is a huge subject, but that's really about as fundamental as it gets. It takes a leader to develop leaders. Show your team the way and they will follow.

Your example will inspire those people who have hidden potential, just waiting underneath the surface.

Leadership duplicates leadership.

What I mean by that is this: there's training that covers the nuts'n'bolts of how to run a business, like how to greet a prospect; how to interview them; how to close them; etc.

But then there is training for the intangible things, like how to work well with a team; how to deal with people who are less than cooperative; how to find the strengths in others and capitalize them.

Don't forget the intangibles - in the long run they are key to molding a leader.

Make a plan for your blossoming leaders to develop their potential to the fullest extent possible. Put it in writing. Make it a concise and well thought out strategy.

In order for a person to develop leadership skills, it must be a calculated and conscious effort. A person needs to set aside time every day, whether it's 10 minutes or 30 minutes, for personal development. It must be deliberate, planned and consistent. It does no good to put in an hour one week, zero the next week and then 2 hours the next.

A little bit all the time is better than a lot some of the time.

Leadership doesn't happen by accident.

Personal growth is an investment. Benjamin Franklin said, "An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest." Pass this understanding on to your business builders.

Just remember, leadership isn't something you pop in the microwave for 7 minutes, take it out and it's ready to go. It adheres to something called the law of process. There are certain rules of the universe that everything abides by. Things don't happen overnight. It takes time for a leader to develop, to build a relationship with someone. In some things, time and process is a fixed element. Developing leaders requires long term vision.

In the end, it's the key to the network marketing treasure chest.
